[3 month mark]
Today marks 3 full months since I started eating better and going to the gym [May 4, 2011]
These last few months I have made significant changes. I eat more healthily than I did before; I drink at least 5 times as much water as I did before, I don’t drink soda or eat sweets as often, I eat more veggies and lean proteins, and I went to the gym at least 2-3 days more per week (from 0 days). This may have made slight changes to my body, but zero changes to my weight. One who eats this healthily and works out reguarly should not weigh what I weigh. I have lost zero pounds in three months. Time for more change
This week is the first that I feel I have really pushed myself. I stuck to my water intake at 2L/day, I’ve eaten breakfast every morning, worked out 4/5 days so far this week and I even cooked broccoli to take with my to eat with my lunch instead of crackers. I increased weights during workouts, ran a mile at a good pace and I made conscious decisions not to indulge in sugar when offered freely. Lastly, I got out of bed despite feeling utterly exhausted this morning and went to the gym. Tomorrow, I’ll go to the gym and do it all again and hope that it was enough effort this week to make me feel good about myself until Monday when I get to do it again. I know that I am capable of this and more.
I have a little over nine months to lose 20lbs. I don’t think this is unreasonable:
That’s about 36 weeks and 180 days to succeed at a total of -20lbs. Seems right. I have 180 to make a 180.
Tomorrow is Day 1 again.
