I don’t feel guilty for being white. I feel some emotion that remains undefined in the back of my head. I was born into the ascribed ingroup, therefor, my feelings are incomparable to that of others. I will never know what it feels like to truly be in an outgroup. All I can do is learn as much as I can about others and remind myself that I’ll never know what it is like to be in their shoes because I will never be anyone but white, middle class and female.

I feel like a lot of white privilege scholars try to align themselves with People of Color by demonizing White attempts to bridge the race gap/color barrier. At least people are trying.
