maxes this week (3)
This last weekend was a total eating disaster. Dim Sum, followed by an afternoon of chips and booze, did not create a good atmosphere for weight management. Needless to say, my biggest competitor so far is myself. I easily overindulge on the weekends because I am used to it. Unfortunately, that meant I was +4 by Monday (salt, water weight, etc…)
I need to remember that I get one indulgent meal and that should be ‘secret burrito time’ with the fiance. I know that sounds dirty … lol… it’s technically Mexican food :9 !
MONDAY
- Overhead Press - Was not the most spectacular of days. I was very tired. I had to stop a few times for my dips and chins - which I usually push through until the end. I did finish my sets. My overhead press is still a mystery to me. I feel like I am not completely focused on my task. There are people wandering around the gym and I let myself become distracted. My only thought at the moment is to get to the gym as early as I can and to get my heavy lift out of the way when there are less people around. I will think of another fix if the problem persists.

TUESDAY
- Dead Lift - I did not do my dead-lifts again. I’m really new to free-weights so anything out of the ordinary intimidates me about the exercise. I was supposed to do my leg-press today but I was tired again. I want to do well on my leg day so I really need to get some rest beforehand. Just threw together a bunch of sets to get things done and did extra cardio to makeup for anything lacking

WEDNESDAY
- Bench Press (Chest Press) - I came into the gym ready for this one. I could not press out to my max at 100, but I did do 3 reps. I was pretty happy that I could do 3. I really want to be able to press this one out on my own soon. Sadly, with my compound row I feel like I may have been cheating a little. I was using more of my legs than I was my back or arms. I took the weight back down to 95 max and did them slower and more precise. I feel like it won’t be long until I’m back up to 110 max. Bitches be hating on cardio today. The machines I like were taken all morning, so I decided to brave the treadmill and the only ones available were broken or very squeaky loud. I tried another elliptical and finally a machine opened after about 8 min. BLAH. I did complete my 270 tho… in due time.
